Latin America has been facing increasing political instability in recent years. Corruption scandals, economic crises and social protests have become commonplace in several countries in the region. The challenges faced by governments create a context for political unrest and power shifts.

An example of such instability is Venezuela, where the economic crisis and the authoritarian regime of President Nicolás Maduro have led to mass protests and a refugee crisis. Millions of people have left the country in search of a better life, creating a humanitarian catastrophe in neighboring countries.

In other countries, such as Brazil and Chile, protests have led to significant changes in the political system. Brazil faced the impeachment of President Dilma Rousseff, while Chile saw mass protests against inequality and social injustice, which eventually led to a constitutional referendum.
